Aces Wheelchair Basketball Club
In Bucks we have one of the best clubs in the country providing opportunities for people with and without disabilities to play wheelchair basketball. Since it formed more than 25 years ago, Aces has become one of the most successful clubs in both domestic and international competitions, boasting five players who competed in Beijing.
Aces currently run four senior teams and two junior teams which all compete in the National League. In 2008 Aces founded their junior section with five members and in one season has grown to more than 20 regular attendees.
This season Aces are starting a 3rd Division team to meet the needs of their stronger junior players and new players. However despite this, and both their ongoing success and their Paralympics heritage, Aces are struggling to compete in the top tier of the Euro Cup due to the development of professional teams. With the help of sponsors and funders, Aces would be able to close the gap in terms of resources and continue their heritage of success at the highest level.
