About Bucks Sport

Bucks Sport is one of the forty nine County Sports Partnerships which support, co-ordinate and manage sport as part of The Delivery System for Sport in England.

Established in 2001 the Partnership is a not-for-profit network of local and regional agencies committed to working together to develop and promote sport and physical activity.

Since 2001, the Partnership has evolved and developed into an increasingly effective and dynamic network supported by a strong central team delivering increasing outcomes for sport, communities and for partners. The central team is hosted by Aylesbury Vale District Council and is supported by Sport England Lottery funding.  The Partnership works to develop a number of sports, providing opportunities particularly for young people. The work of the partnership also involves the development of sport in schools, clubs and in the community accross the county.

To achieve these aims we work in conjunction with a number of partners including the Sport & Leisure Departments of the Local Authorities in the county, including the District Councils of Aylesbury Vale, Chiltern, Wycombe and South Bucks, Buckinghamshire County Council and Milton Keynes Unitary Authority; National Governing Bodies and Associations of Sport; School Sport Partnerships; and other agencies such as Thames Valley Police, Bucks and Milton Keynes Primary Care Trusts, Play Associations, Youth Groups and Social Care teams.
