Whether people are looking to squeeze in a sport or exercise class after work, or find time during the day while the children are at school, Reactivate Bucks has something to put a spring in their step. In addition to activities across the county, Reactivate Bucks has teamed up with Let’s Dance (part of Change 4 Life) to offer
FREE dance classes on 6 & 7 March. There is everything from latin dance to hip hop on offer across the county.
For people looking to play a sport they once enjoyed and want to play again, the Return to Sport courses cover everything from team to racquet sports. For local mum, Heather Batty, returning to a sport she loved to play at school has given her a new burst of energy. Heather explains: “It’s only one night a week but I feel so much better about myself. It’s so much better than doing the same thing over and over. Every game of netball is different!” Return to Sport courses are run over several weeks giving everyone the chance to build their skills and knowledge of a sport with the help of highly experienced coaches.
Running is among the sports on offer, and Bucks Resident and Olympic Gold Medallist, Denise Lewis, is pleased to support such local activity commenting: “I am so proud to support this programme encouraging local people to try something new and become more active. It’s so important to find someone to train with, as it all adds to the enjoyment and means you are less likely to give up if you know other people are relying on you.”
Whatever people choose to do through Reactivate Bucks, they have the opportunity to make March the month for some “me time”. It’s never too late to get fit, feel healthier and have fun. For more information about Reactivate Bucks see
