England Football Day

England Football Day is a campaign that aims to inspire more people to get into football at a time when the whole nation is excited about England’s participation in the FIFA World Cup. The FA has three specific objectives which can be summarised by the campaign message: Play, Coach, Celebrate.

Play objective aims to signpost those interested in playing to find a club in their area.
Coach objective aims to inspire level one coaches to take the new FA Youth Award.
Celebrate objective aims to get the football community together to celebrate the beautiful game by organising or participating in a football festival/community event.

England Football Day has been created for clubs, teams, players and volunteers around the country to play, coach and celebrate football. With England competing in the FIFA World Cup this year, and The FA offering help and encouragement, why not create your own England Football Day festival to promote your club?

You could:
Hold an open day for new players, coaches or volunteers.
Run a coaching day promoting the new FA Youth Award.
Fundraise by holding a barbecue and showing the match in your clubhouse.
Ask volunteers to help with re-decorating your clubhouse.
Festival organisers can hold an England Football Day event on any day that they choose, including the ‘official date’ of Saturday 12 June, when England kick off their campaign v USA.
