Coach Development Officer

SOUTHERN REGION (Hampshire, Bucks, Berks, Oxon) COMMUNITY RUGBY DEPARTMENT REGIONAL £29,000 to £32,000 + Car + Benefits

The RFU has established some of the best and most innovative coaching programmes in world rugby in recent years, working in partnership with leading national sports accreditation bodies; other home unions and international business schools.
The Community Coaching Development Department is committed to the recruitment, retention and development of rugby coaches throughout England. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the department’s delivery team to further extend coaching programmes and coach development; achieving our goal to enable all teams to have access to high quality coaching supported by the best coach development system.
Reporting to the National Coaching Development Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all players have access to high quality coaching and that all coaches have access to high quality coach education and development.

Your key responsibilities and goals will include:

• Deliver UKCC Coaching Courses at Level 1 – 3 within local club & school partnerships.
• Deliver introduction coaching awards to coaches and teachers within club and school partnerships
• Deliver on-going coach development (CPD) courses to club coaches and teachers levels in partnership with RFU staff, CBs and other coaching agencies.
• Assist in the professional coaching development of Community Rugby Coaches. 

To succeed in this role you will need to demonstrate:

• Experience of delivering high quality coach development programmes
• High quality coaching and people development skills
• A high level of written and verbal communication skills
• The skills to develop effective internal and external relationships.
