Ranked as the top racing club in the Central Region by British Cycling, Team Milton Keynes (TMK) has achieved great racing results in the areas of cycling, triathlon and duathlon. Amazingly, more than 25 of its members have completed the grueling Ironman event! TMK also organise and promote many sporting events, and recently worked with the North Bucks Road Club to host the National Time Trial Championships which attracted British Olympic and World Cup Medalists Bradley Wiggins and Emma Pooley. They also ensure that youngsters don’t miss out on the fun by running the Trek Youth Challenge Series. The junior section is also one of the most successful in the country, having achieved Clubmark accreditation and high praise from British Cycling. TMK also supports the development of its members – with 11 volunteers currently undertaking a wide range of qualifications – and holds an annual awards ceremony to celebrate the super human efforts of all its members!

This club continues to be the Oxford & North Bucks County Champions and winners of the Home Counties League. Its ongoing success includes achieving dozens of top ten finishes at the South East Regional Age Group and Youth Championships together with 12 qualifiers at this year’s British Age Group Championships! The club has many committed volunteers, including senior swimmers who helped to make the Bucks Youth Games a success and others who have led the club to ASA Clubmark Swim 21 Accreditation. The Club is also about fun and fitness and has this year welcomed more than 50 new swimmers, including those with a disability, to its academy programme, open days and annual novice gala. The club is also part of the community, and works closely with partners, such as Stoke Mandeville Stadium and Bucks TV, to provide the best opportunities for its swimmers!

It seems everyone has a soft spot for Cublington Cricket Club, whether it’s local companies and pubs providing sponsorship, ladies from St Nicholas Church organising the delicious teas, or parents helping to prepare the ground and facilities before a match. However, behind the idyllic façade, Cublington Cricket Club is run with exacting precision: its 42 volunteers fulfil a myriad of roles ranging from umpires to press secretaries. Their dedication, and team spirit, has paid off this season and they have achieved some fantastic results: the U8’s won the Bucks Kwik-Cricket Tournament, the U9’s and U15’s were the Aylesbury District League and Play-off Champions, the U10’s were County semi-finalists, and the U17’s are the current Aylesbury & District Division champions. The men’s team also put in an impressive performance and won the Bucks County Challenge Cup! In addition the club are currently developing a new girls’ section to add to its extensive accomplishments as a Clubmark accredited club.
