The AFPE (Association for Physical Education), "Adults Supporting Learning: PE Awareness course"

Friday 31st October in Aylesbury.

This comprehensive course is recommended for all Sports Coaches working in schools as it will cover:

• Raising awareness of the PE National Curriculum and key issues in physical education philosophy.

• Methods that can be used in organising and planning physical education.

• The need to be aware of the health and safety of young people and safe coaching/teaching practice

• Further opportunities for personal development in relation to their role in the school and the purpose and functions of self-reflection in raising standards

• How learning through PE and School Sport can contribute to whole school improvement.

Who should attend?

Coaches, Community Coaches, Sports Development Officers, Teaching Assistants and volunteers.

The course supports the "Every Child Matters" agenda and aims to raise awareness of the requirements of the National Curriculum to raise standards.

Date: Friday 31st October (half term)
