An active lifestyle is beneficial for promoting good health and is also a great opportunity for socialising, but activity can be as social or as personal as you choose. Current recommendations suggest that:

Adults should be participating in a minimum of 30 mins a day of moderate intensity physical activity.

Children should be participating in a minimum of 1 hr per day of moderate intensity physical activity.

How to get physically active everyday!

Use the stairs
Get off the bus a stop early
Park a bit further away from your destination
Go for a brisk walk in your lunch break
Use a bicycle instead of the car
 



The most active over 60’s in Bucks?
Are they the most active group of over 60’s in Bucks? The Chalfont St Giles 60+ Fitness & Social Club was only formed in October 2007 by local residents who wanted somewhere to meet, socialise and get some exercise, but already has over 35 members who meet weekly and enjoy an extensive range of activities.
