The Winning with Women project has been made possible by funding from the European Social Fund (ESF). Through the project women will be supported to overcome the barriers they may face in returning to work. In particular, the project welcomes interest from women in those groups that are currently under-represented within the sports workforce (black and ethnic minority groups, socially excluded communities, and those with disabilities). No previous experience is required.
Winning with Women are actively seeking partnerships with employers to offer work placements for women that will be undertaking training. Employers will benefit from a potential source of flexible, qualified and motivated staff. Furthermore, the employer will develop contacts with the Sussex Downs College and benefit from associated funding and training opportunities with Skills Active, Sports England and other organisations.
