Princes Risborough School's Gym & Dance Dipslay - 10 & 11 July 2008

Five local primary schools took part in this fun evening of gym and dance display...

Choreographed by Annabelle Mitchel, dance coach and helped back stage by Junior Sports Leadesr, Great Kimble, Speen, Naphill & Walters Ash, St John's and Monks Risborough, along with a variety of acts performed by the upper school, all took part in an impressive display of gym and dance talent over two evening in July.

Shannon Kale and Lauren kicked off the evening with a street dance battle to a Girls Aloud music track.  St John's street dance pupils broke everyone's hearts with their dance and wowed the audience with their gymnastics display.  Coirstan MacDonald and Aimee White from Y7 performed an impressive gymnastics act impressing the audience with flips and splits.  Monks Risborough took everybody back in tim with their take on 'Annie'.  Throughout the vening their were great, individual street dance performances from Pascale Aliphon, Ellie Downs, Kat Arrowsmith, Melissa Anderson and Lauren Britnell.  Naphill & Walters Ash performed three street dances each with their own spectacular style and precision.  Great Kimble's 'Lion King' performed by Y1 and Y2 students received one of the biggest rounds of applause.  Speen won the award for the most sparkly costumes with their dance to diamonds.

The core of the Princes Risborough School street dance group, who performed at the Red Cross dance competition earlier in the year performed their dance to their biggest audience yet.  Jade Crawford and Leah Jellis showed us all how to 'get low', whilst Ciorstan MacDonald and Jasmin Saunders took the audience to America with their line dancing.

All the performers ended the evening with dancing to 'Canned Heat'.
