The event was used to recruit new beneficiaries as well as to reward those swimmers who have attended throughout the last year. The event celebrated the key successes of the last year with 9 swimmers attaining 25m+ badges. None of these swimmers could achieve their key stage 2 target of 25m at the beginning of the project. In addition to this 1 swimmers achieved their 20m badge and a further 5 swimmers achieved their 5m badges. After the presentation swimmers, parents and their grandparents enjoyed a one hour fun swim together.
The project will continue throughout the summer holidays.
A similar project also looks set to start in Wycombe at the end of July.
