Bucks Disability Swimming Club has had a successful month at both the National and Regional championships.
Both Lucy Chenery and Robbie Singh gained qualifying times to take part in the DSE national championships on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March at Ponds Forge in Sheffield.
Both gained personal best times at the event and Lucy walked away with a gold (4 x 100m freestyle relay), silver (50m Backstroke) and bronze (50m Breaststroke).
Lucy first joined the Bucks Disability Swimming Club after attending a PESSCL project run by Bucks Sport in April 2006. After a year of swimming with the club she integrated into mainstream swimming and now trains with Aylesbury and District Swimming Club.
In addition to this, five swimmers from the club also competed at the DSE regional championships which were held in Southampton at the beginning of February. Although swimmers are not given placed at the gala all swimmers managed personal best times.
