An exhibition from the National Badminton Museum, based at the National Badminton Centre, was set up, alongside a court in the centre of the exhibition.
The day got started with 19 children from Bushfield Primary School taking part in a Bisi festival, with the Bushfield Killers claiming a narrow victory over the Bushfield Burgers.
The children were then joined by England players; Kristian Roebuck, Andrew Ellis, Heather Olver, Sarah Walker, to take part in a minute rally challenge, the winner achieving 81 consecutive hits with partner Kristian Roebuck.
The England players then took part in an exhibition match, and invited members of the primary school to join in.
This was followed by 7 players from Lord Grey School took part in a coaching session from Herman Fung.
The event attracted a great deal of interest from the general public and raised awareness of the game and the museum.
