Aqua Vale Swimming & Fitness Centre in Aylesbury hosted the event and required a team effort from local organisations to complete a 600m swim, 3 mile bike ride and 1.5 miles run in the quickest time possible. Twenty teams with a total of 55 competitors took part in the fun event which raised over £600, many of whom took part during their lunch hour.
Although it was all in aid of charity the competition was still tough with every team battling hard to win, however the winning title went to Team Nexus who completed their triathlon in 25 minutes and 4 seconds.
The organiser of the event, Emily Swain, said that “It was great to see so many teams entering and we are really thankful to those organisations that supported the event. We aim now to build on the success of this year and hopefully next year we will run a similar event encouraging more of Aylesbury’s local businesses to take part”.
