The event was attended by over 40 of the county’s most talented youngsters and their coaches, and was organised in partnership with Buckinghamshire New University whose staff provided expertise and advice on areas such as sports nutrition, developing ‘mental toughness’ and core stability.
In addition to presentations and a question and answer session with Mark and Clare about their own experience in getting to the top.
The event builds on the Bucks Sport Talent Passport launched earlier in the year, which provides a package of support from a range of partners across the county for Bucks athletes competing at national level in their sport. These activities are a key element of the Bucks Sport 2012 Legacy vision (

Feedback from athletes and coaches was hugely positive and Bucks Sport is looking to expand the Talent Passport and Performance Academy programme and is currently seeking sponsors to help this.
