Bisi Festivals
It’s been a very exciting time for Badminton, especially in the Wycombe and Chiltern area. Throughout February Sir William Ramsay School and the Royal Grammar School hosted the first ever Bisi festivals.
Bisi Badminton is an initiative taken by BADMINTON England to allow children from Key Stages 1 and 2 to take part in safe Badminton and even competition.
A total of 80 children took part in the festivals and tournament and due to great success will be run again during the year.
Inter School Competitions
Wycombe Badminton Centre has also hosted two very successful Inter school competitions between secondary schools. The boys Yr 7 & 8 trophy, and boys Yr 9, 10 & 11 trophy were held in February with Dr Challoner’s Grammar School winning both events out-right.
The Girls Competitions will be held on March 6th at Wycombe Badminton Centre – report will be published next month.
