The Active People Survey
The Active People Survey is the largest ever survey of sport and active recreation to be undertaken in Europe.

Active travel and healthy workplaces
With only 34% of adults in England getting enough physical activity to benefit their health and levels of obesity and associated diseases predicted to rise dramatically, the workplace is increasing being looked upon as a key setting for promoting a more active lifestyle. By active community - cycling or walking to work - many people of working age can easily achieve the recommended level of 30 minutes of moderate activity five times a week.

Physical Activity
Bucks Sport together with a wide range of partners across the county actively co-ordinate and develop physical activity opportunities for adults and young people. Taking part in regular physical activity helps to prevent many illnesses including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity. An active lifestyle is key to improving and maintaining health with current government guidelines suggesting that adults take part in at least 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity on at least 5 separate times a week and under 16s participate in at least a hour a day of moderate intensity sport and/or physical activity a week.

What is market segmentation?
Sport England has developed nineteen sporting segments to help us understand the nations’ attitudes and motivations – why they play sport and why they don’t.
