The mayor of Princess Risborough, Gary Hall, presented White leaf Badminton Club with the award grant certificate, and stayed to watch the badminton session itself. Since being awarded the grant White Leaf Badminton Club has been able to set up a junior section with the help of Heather Watson who made the initial application for the award and has taken on the coaching role of the junior section.
“The lottery grant has meant we have not had to worry about taster sessions or my cost and the equipment is great meaning all the kids are at the same level and just have to come in sports clothes.” Heather Watson, White leaf Junior Badminton Club
