Bucks Hornets are a thriving basketball club, with opportunities for coaches to get involved with development work. They will be looking for people to to join the team in September, for the start of the new season.

Basketball Assistant Coaches
Bucks Hornets are a new National League Basketball Club based in the centre of Buckinghamshire, playing and training out of Aylesbury. As a club they are committed to the development of young basketball players to become elite performers on and off the basketball court. For the 2009/10 the club will be catering for U14 & U15 Boys as well as U13/14 Girls. The club are looking for three enthusiastic and committed assistant coaches to work alongside the head coaches at the club.

Helper At Judo Club - Judo Club, Winslow
Person to book in players when they arrive for lessons. Collect fees and record them as well as other small cash items, other admin type duties.

Sports Club Assistant Coach - Aylesbury Football Club
A football club looking for one or more volunteers to assist a coach with Junior Coaching Sessions. The role would involve helping set up the session/equipment. Assisting with skill tasks, running sessions supervised by a coach. We are also looking for a volunteer to assist on Saturday’s Match day, helping around the club

Bucks CC Football Club
We are a Charter Standard Community Club of 15 teams junior to adult and would consider support in varied ways, including assistance with coaching, help with tournaments, facility management. Placement specifics open to discussion with volunteer.

Sports Club Assistant - Maxwell Swimming Club
We need an enthusiastic person to help to organise & run various Swim meets. Possibly including the County Championships in March 09.
You can help with marshalling spectators / swimmers. Also setting up equipment & various other tasks.

Get Active Learning Disability Sports Assistant - BucksSport
Get Active is a project run by Bucks Sport in partnership with other organisations to increase sporting activities for adults with learning disabilities. Through the year, Get Active are running sessions in High Wycombe for adults with learning disabilities to take part in sport. We need friendly, enthusiastic volunteers for this fun and rewarding opportunity

Assistant Coach for Young Athletes - Vale of Aylesbury Athletic Club
We need an enthusiastic person to help coach our kestrels group of 8-10 year old athletes. This is a group of about 10-20 youngsters who will all be new to athletics who need to be taught the basics of the sport in a fun environment.

Scout Leaders - Aylesbury District Scout Council
Helpers with time to spare on a Monday and/or Friday evening are needed as Scout Leaders for Beaver and Cub Scouts, Scouts and Explorer Scouts. The role, which is based on the Scout Promise and Law, are with various groups across the Vale.

Horse and People Helper - Horses Helping People CIC
Love being in the company of horses while helping people achieve their potential? We need you to help our clients enjoy hands on experience with horses, must be confident around horses and reasonably fit, but training will be given in western horsemanship.

Young Sports Leaders - Aylesbury Youth Action
Sports Leaders Award is a great opportunity for young people (14 -24) to learn leadership skills as well as gaining a nationally recognised qualification from Sports Leaders UK. The course emphasis is very much on learning through doing rather than written work. At the end of the course volunteers will help to lead sports sessions for local children. The day and time of the projects varies on each course, but will run outside school hours, during school term for 12 weeks.

Netball League Volunteer - Aylesbury Youth Netball League
The Aylesbury Youth Netball League are looking for volunteers to join this exciting new project. If you can spare a few hours a week to help you will be rewarded by expanding your knowledge of the game, make new friendships and doing something worthwhile for the young community.

Playworker - Southcourt & Walton Court Community Project
A playworker to help run playschemes for 4-11 year olds is a fun job waiting for a volunteer. Help is needed for a Saturday Club and for playschemes during school holidays. The schemes are part of the Southcourt and Walton Court Community Project in Aylesbury.

Spend time with enthusiastic, energetic, young people of all ages who appreciate help and encouragement. Be present at coaching sessions to assist coaches and help players.

Tour de Vale 2010 - WheelPower - British Wheelchair Sport
WheelPower is organising the annual Tour De Vale Bike Ride to raise funds to help children and adults with disabilities through sport. The Tour de Vale bike ride is taking place in June, starting and finishing at the Stoke Mandeville Stadium. Volunteers are needed to help with marshalling, manning refreshment stops and helping make the day go as smoothly as possible. Any time people could give would be great whether it's the whole day or a few hours. The Tour de Vale bike ride raises money for British Wheelchair Sport.

Collectors - WheelPower - British Wheelchair Sport
The internationally famous British Wheelchair Sport Foundation at Stoke Mandeville, near Aylesbury, is looking for volunteers to collect cash for them. Collecting at sports events is one of the ways that BWSF provides funds to prepare and train wheelchair athletes for events throughout the UK and overseas, including the Paralympics. Your help is vital to give the athletes the best chance to win that elusive gold medal

Let Play Together Helper - Bucks Play Association
If you are enthusiastic and enjoy being with children then 'Lets Play Together' play scheme is for you, you will be required to assist children in the activities of the play scheme, such as art, crafts drama, junk modeling, out side games, and encouraging children to make friends. The playscheme caters for both mainstream children and those with S.E.N.

Water Baby - Ryder-Cheshire Volunteers
Join a physically disabled person for a swimming session (possibly with other disabled people). Share your love of splishing and splashing!

Children's Health & Fitness Champ - Buzz Clubs
Our children, aged 5 to 11, enjoy sport after school and we have access to both indoor and outdoor facilities. All we need is an enthusiastic sports person to motivate them to try different sports and have fun whilst keeping fit and healthy.
