New Coaching Development Manager at Bucks Sport!

With London 2012 only around the corner, there has never been a greater time to look more closely at how we develop and sustain high standards of coaching, at all levels, across Bucks and Milton Keynes. As a result Sport England have funded a network of Coaching Development Managers to not only support the coaches and wider coaching workforce on the ground, but also to create a consistent and sustainable coaching system that will have a lasting legacy on the development of coaching, even after the games have been and gone.

The Coaching Development Manager for Bucks and Milton Keynes is Ben Fisher and he is one of 49 Coaching Development Managers across the country. His role is simply to support the development of the coaching workforce and organisations who are involved in coaching in some way across the county. He will do this by setting up a network of local agencies who all have a key interest and involvement in coaching and can potentially provide the solutions and development needs of the people on the ground.

By using the UK Coaching Framework as a reference point, the network will provide a consistent and sustainable system to support coaching for many years to come and hopefully contribute to the country becoming world leading by 2016.
