Margaret Peggie OBE



Margaret has a wide breadth of interest and knowledge of sport and recreation, including a career embracing teaching physical education in Buckinghamshire, and as a lecturer, trainer, course director and examiner on teacher training courses for teachers of Movement, Dance and Exercise.  She has a B.Ed (Hons) and a MA (Dance Studies), served for many years as the Deputy Chair of the Movement & Dance Division of the CCPR; served as a Member of the CCPR Executive Committee, chaired the CCPR Equity Working Party and was also a Member of the Sport England Women & Sport Advisory Group.  Margaret has also Directed the last two National Movement & Dance Festivals at the Royal Albert Hall.   Currently, Margaret is Chair of the British Sports Trust - Sports Leaders UK, a Charitable Company based in Milton Keynes; is a Vice - President of the CCPR; continues to play a major role in the Fitness League, and is the Chair of the Sport England Exercise, Movement & Dance Partnership.

In 2008 Margaret was awarded the OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for service to Fitness, Dance and Sport.
