Topic Eating disorders are prevalent in sport and can affect any performer, male or female, at any age and at any level. Would you be able to recognise the signs and symptoms if a performer in your charge was suffering from an eating disorder? This workshop gives coaches and parents advice on what to look for, what to do and where to go for help in the event of suspecting the existence of an eating disorder.

This workshop will help you, the coach to: 
  •  Identify the warning signs, symptoms and risk factors of eating disorders
  •  Play a role in the prevention, identification and management of eating disorders
  •  Know where to go for further support and advice.
The health, well-being and success of your players depends on understanding eating disorders.

Pricing is as follows:

First aid for Sport: £20 (gold) £30 (silver) £35 (bronze)

scUK workshops: £10 (gold) £20 (silver) £30 (bronze).

Running sport workshops: £10 (gold) £15 (silver) £20 (bronze).

Introduction to funding for sports clubs and developing a Fund Raising Strategy for your club/organisation: £10 (gold) £15 (silver) £20 (bronze).

Gold Representatives:
(Representatives from: Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Hockey, Football, Gymnastics,Netball, Rugby Union, Squash, Swimming and all clubs who have attained ‘Club Mark’ status or an equivalent NGB award)

Silver Representatives:
(All other sports, Teachers & others working in schools, Community Sports / Physical Activity Groups)

Bronze Representatives:
(Out of County residence)


Duration 1 Day every 2 hours
