29 year old Charlie Walker from Aylesbury has been selected to be part of the Great Britain Sitting Volleyball Squad in development for London 2012.
A former Army bomb disposal officer, Charlie plays his club matches for Surrey Sitting Volleyball Club. As a double below knee amputee, Charlie got his first taste of the sport at the 2009 Stoke Mandeville Amputee Games and was fast-tracked to the GB development squad. He is also a member of the Aces Wheelchair Basketball Club.
Interesting Facts
Served in the Army in bomb disposal between 2004-2008.
