Blueprint of story 'Workplace'

For many people, finding the time to be physically active is the biggest struggle. Long hours in the office, a lengthy commute, combined with other commitments such as family, friends and domestic duties … and what time is left to take part in sport or physical activity?

But on the other hand, it is estimated that on average people spend 60% of their waking hours in their place of work – so why not create opportunities to be more active in the workplace during this time?

Workplace health promotion is all about creating ways to improve the health and well-being of people at work.

Whether you are encouraging your employees to leave the car at home and walk or bike to work or to local meetings; to attend local sport clubs or activities at lunch time or after work; or compete as teams with other local businesses, there is something to suit all your employees to help encourage them to give it a go, get fit, feel healthier and have fun!

And we are here to help …

The Reactivate Bucks Workplace Challenge and Reactivate Bucks Corporate Games have been specifically designed to support workplaces in getting their employees more active. For more information on either initiative, please select the buttons from the left-hand menu.

A more active workforce can lead to improved health, well-being and productivity.
