With spring just round the corner, now is the time to branch out and enjoy the great outdoors. Why not return to a sport you once played or set yourself a new challenge? And whilst doing so raise some money for important local and national charities. There’s loads of activities and events to choose from, like the programme of Run England Beginner Running Groups and the ‘Sport Relief Miles’ one of which is at Waddesdon Manor, catering for all levels of ability. They’ll also prepare you for these other great events taking place in the next few months;
The Woburn Abbey Cycletta on the 13th May is fronted by Olympic Gold Medallist Victoria Pendleton and takes place over an achievable 40km distance. The Woburn event is one of a series of women only bike rides aimed at inspiring female cyclists, whilst raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Dash for Dad 5 & 10K run at the beautiful West Wycombe Park on 17th June organised by local mum and Olympic hopeful, Samantha Amend on behalf of the Child Bereavement Charity.
