Most of us have tried cycling at some stage in our lives. You may never forget how to ride a bike as the saying goes – more excitingly you could learn how to ride a new type of bike.

The sport has lots of different disciplines – BMX, Cycle Speedway, Cyclo-Cross, Mountain Biking, Road and Track biking.

Cycling is also a great way to get around and stay fit – in rush hour cycling is twice as fast as a car and regular cyclists enjoy a fitness level equal to that of a person ten years younger!!  And, with the recent opening of the Chilterns Cycleway by Formula One Racing Driver Mark Webber, you can explore the Chilterns for free. Cycle Aylesbury is Buckinghamshire County Council's project to get more people cycling, more safely, more often in Aylesbury. The team organise events and training, working with schools and businesses across the town to encourage people to cycle.

Cycle Aylesbury is also responsible for putting in new cycle routes around the town including the very successful Gemstone routes proving it is.... better by bike.

Beginner led cycling rides
At Reactivate Bucks we are currently in the process of setting up led  beginner cycle rides.  We know that cycling on the road can be quite a scary prospect and often puts people of getting back on their bike.  We are therefore going to help people over come this fear and give people the confidence they need.  These rides will be 10 / 15 miles ling depending on the abilitiy with in the group and will take participants through some lovely routes across the Buckinghamshire countryside.
