The start of the programme will be celebrated during a FREE Community Tennis Open Day on Saturday 12th May, from 12.30 – 3.00pm.
From the 14th May, coaches Nigel Little & Sue Dunn will be running weekly sessions including Mums and Tots, Over 50s and heart pumping Cardio Tennis to music. They will be delivering a programme which will be affordable and easily accessible for the residents of Aylesbury Vale. The programme is being launched after a successful bid for Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) Beacon Status and the site joining the AEGON Parks Tennis programme. Beacon status is awarded to sites that demonstrate a real commitment to making tennis more accessible and affordable in their local communities to people of all ages and abilities.
Sue Dunn and Nigel Little have said ‘We are hoping to give everybody the opportunity to try out tennis and to realise what a great game it is. Players will be able to train with the coaches, then play in their own time on the free vale park courts. It’s a very exciting time for community Tennis’. Racquets will be provided for all sessions.
To see the timetable of weekly sessions, please visit Vale Park or the Aylesbury Vale District Council website.
