NHS Milton Keynes

NHS Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust is responsible for commissioning all the health services in the borough and also provides community and mental health services. It is responsible for spending more than £300 million each year, including £45 million on the services it directly provides.
The PCT employs 1,400 people and is split into two divisions – the provider of community and mental health services and the commissioner of all health services. The Commissioning division is now known as NHS Milton Keynes.
The Trust is working to improve the health and wellbeing of local residents, reduce inequalities and social exclusion and secure fair, fast access to a comprehensive range of services. It is also increasing choice and convenience for patients and improving their experience of health service.
Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust actively promotes Physical Activity opportunities to both the community and our staff.  Milton Keynes Primary Care Trust coordinates the Active MK Exercise Referral scheme as well as other activities across Milton Keynes.  We link our own Physical Activity programme with others across Milton Keynes, and are helping to increase the profile of the Reactivate project.
