Who will win the 2012 Bucks Sport Awards?
Individuals and organisations, who have made an outstanding sporting contribution locally, will come together for a celebratory evening at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre this November. It will be their chance to see if they have won one of the prestigious Bucks & Milton Keynes Sports Awards.

The Hosts………..The Bucks & Milton Keynes Sports Awards 2012 are hosted by Bucks Sport, the Bucks & Milton Keynes Sports Partnership. They are designed to reward and celebrate individual and organisational achievement as well as recognise those people who work tirelessly ‘behind the scenes’…our unsung sporting heroes!

The Bucks Sports Awards have grown in popularity, distinction and stature since being launched.  The event is seen as the counties most prestigious Awards Ceremony as well as being regarded as a key event by which to celebrate the year of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Venue......the prestigious Aylesbury Waterside Theatre

The Awards …....are co-ordinated to incorporate nominations from across the County, creating a celebration of sporting excellence from across Bucks. This year the awards will particularly celebrate the successes of London 2012. The Bucks & Milton Keynes Sports Awards 2012 will look to attract hundreds of nominations with a full complement of guests of over two hundred people.

The guests..........will consist of many of our valued partners from Bucks and Milton Keynes, to include:

  •        Winners, Runners Up and Guests
  •        National Governing Bodies & County Associations of Sport
  •        Sporting VIPs (e.g. Current and ex-Olympians and Paralympians)
  •        National, regional and sub-regional sport agencies and providers
  •        Schools / Further Education / Higher Education
  •        Local Authorities 
  •        Commercial Organisations
  •        The Media 
Why don’t you nominate your local sports hero to give them a chance to attend this special event? There are various categories for the Bucks Sport Awards, reflecting the wide ranging impact sport can have for the better thanks to the tireless work of individuals and organisations across our county.

Nominations are now open and we welcome nominations in the following 8 categories:

  •  Coach of the Year
  •  Young Leader of the Year
  •  Volunteer of the year
  •  Club of the Year
  •  London 2012 Legacy Project
  •  School of the Year
  •  Workplace of the Year
  •  The Terry Cook Unsung Hero Award
