Focus: voluntary organisations - rugby clubs only All clubs at level 5 and below in the English Clubs Rugby Union Championship (i.e. the leagues) are eligible to apply to the fund for a loan and grant. Clubs at level 4 are eligible to apply for a loan only.
Funding Cycle: Continuous
The Ground Match Scheme provides easy-to-access grant funding for capital projects which contribute to the recruitment and retention of community rugby players. A list of projects which qualify for a grant (‘Qualifying Projects’) is given in the Guidance Notes but the list is not exhaustive; it is the overall objective of the project which is important.

You can complete the application form online. Go to www.rfu.com/microsites/rff and click on ‘Complete electronic form online’ in the Groundmatch Grant section.
