Bucks Sport and partners have agreed to work together to develop a talent development programme as a part of their London 2012 Legacy. The Bucks Sport Talent PasSport is an initiative to identify, celebrate and support our most talented sports performers.
Initially the Bucks Sport Talent PasSport aims to provide national level sports people with free access to a number of the county’s sports facilities for training and development at designated off peak times.
Eligibility
The Bucks Sport Talent PasSport caters for sports performers (including those with disabilities) of all ages who perform and compete at a national level. In future we hope to expand the programme to incorporate athletes at a county level.
Are you…
• Currently a member of a home nation team (including GB) or a squad?
• Currently listed in the top 10 of any national age group rankings?
If you are either of the above and reside for the majority of the year within Buckinghamshire you will be eligible to access the scheme. Evidence or confirmation of a performer’s involvement at a national level will be required from the appropriate governing body of sport.
Please note if you live in Chiltern you will need to contact GLL please see link below. They operate their own Talent Foundation programme which offers free leisure centre use and direct funding for training, travelling and competition for elite and aspiring athletes. http://www.gll.org/b2b/pages/sport-foundation
