Grants of up to £750 for works required to recreation grounds, pavilions and play areas.
The Association has a small budget each year for giving grants to local organisations towards the improvement of recreational facilities in the County. Grants cannot be paid to individuals towards consumable supplies (e.g. balls) or towards personal items (e.g. clothing).
Grants are in general made only to organisations in membership of the Association.
In order to make the best use of limited resources the Association has agreed the following guidelines for its grant aid.
The priority for expenditure will be in support of projects meeting the capital costs of the sports, recreation and play needs of children, young people and of local communities.
The maximum grant will be £750.
No grant will be considered for a project where the total cost exceeds £15,000.
The Association will consider endorsing projects over £15,000 to enable the applicant to identify the support of the Buckinghamshire Playing Fields Association to other grant-aiding bodies.
Any grant offered must be claimed within two years.
Only one grant will be given to any club/group in one year.
No application will be considered retrospectively.
Applications for ground maintenance may be considered in exceptional circumstances where the total cost exceeds £1,000.
No grant will be considered if tenure of the site is less that 7 years.
