Bucks Sport Coach Bursary Scheme returns!

Bucks Sport are pleased to announce that the Coach Bursary Scheme has returned for at least another year!

Are you looking to get in to coaching? Would you like to develop your current coaching skills and qualifications? Are you a club or organisation looking to develop your workforce? Would you like financial support in gaining a level 1 or 2 coaching qualification? If you have answered yes to any of these, then the Bucks Sport Coach Bursary Scheme could be just what you're looking for!

Due to an increased need to support coaches with attaining level 1, 2 and 3 coaching qualifications, the Bucks Sport Coach Bursary Scheme targets coaches delivering sport across Bucks and/or Milton Keynes. The bursary will provide coaches with the opportunity to undertake a level 1, 2 or 3 coaching qualification with a financial bursary made available to support those who successfully complete their course and deliver voluntary coaching hours in return.

The bursary will look to fund 75% of a coaching course, up to £150 for a level 1, £200 for a level 2 and £250 for a level 3. So, if you are looking to develop your qualifications to actively coach within Buckinghamshire, this bursary is certainly for you!

The guidance notes, application form and Sportivate briefing note can all be found through the links below:
  1. Guidance Notes
  2. Application Form
  3. Sportivate Briefing Note (the funding for this bursary is Sportivate funding, a national programme initiated to try and get young people aged 14-25 taking part in more sport, more often. All applications must meet this criteria so please pay extra attention to the briefing note)
Please note, the Guidance Notes are different to the guidance notes from the previous bursary, so please ensure you download these notes and don't refer back to the old ones.

If you are interested in applying for a bursary, or would like more information please first read the guidance notes explaining the criteria and application process. If you have any further queries after reading the notes, please contact Ben Fisher, Coaching Development Manager at bfisher@buckssport.org or on 01296 585580.
Please ensure you read the guidance notes thoroughly and are happy with the criteria before submitting an application, as applications will not be considered if they do not meet the criteria.

Thank you for your interest in the Bucks Sport Coach Bursary Scheme and we look forward to receiving your application!
