Coach Education Courses

Coach Education Courses

Bucks Sport are proud to co-ordinate a large coach education programme. We currently have courses running throughout the year that cover topics from Safeguarding and Protecting Children and First Aid, to First Steps to Coaching and Disability Awareness. We try to ensure as far as possible that our courses are needs led, so this programme of courses has been co-ordinated based on the results of the annual Bucks & MK coaches survey.

Please note, we will endeavour to add new and exciting workshops to this programme throughout the year so please check back regularly to see what's on offer.

In addition to the generic courses highlighted above, we also provide information on National Governing Body (NGB) courses running throughout the year. You can find out when and where these are being delivered, but also how much they will cost. For a full list of NGBs recognised by Sport England and a link to their websites, please click on the sub-page on the left hand side, entitled 'National Governing Body Courses'.

To view a copy of the coach education booklet, please use the interactive tool below. You can open this in a larger format by clicking on the link below the window.

Please note that as of 1st April 2013, we will be increasing the price of all of our workshops. This is due to the workshop providers having continuously increased the cost to us for running the workshops. However, the cost of our First Aid workshops are still considerably cheaper than some other providers. For example, St Johns Ambulance charge £132 to attend their 6 hour HSE Accredited course, whilst our charges range from £75-£90 for exactly the same course. In addition, all of our First Aid training will focus on sport and how to implement your training in a sporting context, generic courses are likely to not even mention First Aid in a sporting context.

In order to book on to a generic workshop, click on the link below to download a booking form. All the details you need are on the form. All the workshops are listed in the booklet and on our website which you can find by clicking on the 'Course/Meetings' icon on the left hand side of the page. Please note, the NGB courses are subject to change so for these, we recommend you communicate directly with the NGB to prevent dissapointment.
