Coach Support

Coach Support
Welcome to the Coach Support pages, where you will find lots of up-to-date information to support you..............the coach!

Up until recent years, coaching has generally been seen in local communities as a leisure time activity, something for parents to do in their local clubs and for students to do as a way of earning a bit of extra pocket money. However, the growth of the coaching industry and the importance of sports coaching, is seeing a gradual shift change in the way we need to look at the way coaching exists.

Stricter child protection processes and policies mean that coaches need to be extremely up-to-date in their knowledge within this area. In addition, a generic approach to minimum standards for sports coaches is becoming increasingly popular, and therefore something that coaches need to be aware of. And finally, with more coaches being directly employed through organisations or deciding to be self-employed, there has never been a greater time to gain a complete understanding of the tax laws and regulations relating to employment of sports coaches.

This section of the website explores all of the 3 key areas mentioned above and provides coaches with key information which will significantly contribute towards supporting them in their development/knowledge as a sports coach.
