First Aid for Sport (4 hour) - This course is suitable for any persons involved in coaching any sport at club level. Areas covered include crisis management and dealing with respiratory arrest, circulatory arrest, fractures, bleeding, thermal injuries and CPR. This course is not HSE approved. Pricing is as follows:  Bucks Club Mark Accredited Clubs: £55  Individuals living and/or coaching within Bucks: £60 Individuals living and coaching out of Bucks: £70

Emergency First Aid (6hour) HSE Approved – This 6 hour Emergency First Aid course is designed to equip candidates with the skills and knowledge to undertake basic first aid and emergency action until further qualified medical assistance is available. The course will address scenarios that you may be presented with in your sporting environment and covers the following areas in detail:

Theory: the aims of First Aid and the Role of the First Aider, action in an emergency situation, record keeping and First Aid boxes, casualty management, choking recognition and treatment, recognition and treatment of miscellaneous medical conditions, recognition and treatment of specific injuries - sporting injuries and illnesses, poisoning - action and treatment. Practical: management of an unconscious casualty, basic life support – cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), control of bleeding – including basic bandaging techniques. The course is HSE approved and delivered by a HSE registered training provider. *Please note certificates are issued as ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’. Pricing is as follows:  Bucks Club Mark Accredited Clubs: £75  Individuals living and/or coaching within Bucks: £80 Individuals living and coaching out of Bucks: £90

Safeguarding and Protecting Children - Every child deserves to enjoy their sport. This workshop will raise your awareness of the tell-tale signs of abuse, and give you the tools and confidence you need to deal with any issues sensitively, appropriately and effectively should the need ever arise in your coaching career. Newly updated to address the impact of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012. Pricing is as follows: Bucks Club Mark Accredited Clubs: £30  Individuals living and/or coaching within Bucks: £35 Individuals living and coaching out of Bucks: £45

Safeguarding and Protecting Children 2: Reflecting on Practice - In this refresher session, you will consolidate and update everything you learned in the first workshop. You’ll have the opportunity to share best practice and learn from each other’s experiences to help you create a positive, child-centred sporting environment. Only those who have attended the first “Safeguarding and Protecting Children” workshop a minimum of 12 months ago will be eligible to go on this workshop.
